Our Pastor
Rev. White was raised in the Baptist church and nurtured by his parents in the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ. As a youth, he attended Perkins Square Baptist Church. At the age of 12 he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor James Porter. Rev. White held many positions at Bethel, from being on the youth choir, usher, trustee, deacon, Bible study teacher, to associate minister. All these duties and responsibilities allowed Rev. White to grow and develop his spiritual gifts, while also growing spiritually. He preached in trial sermon in August 2006 and was ordained a minister of the Gospel in June 2008.
Rev. White is married to Sherett and is the father of 3 daughters – Cydney, Kabrion (Kay), and Mycah.
REVEREND DENNIS M. WHITE
Rev. Dennis M. White is currently the pastor of Rising Sun Baptist Church in East Baltimore. He was installed into the position of pastor on October 3, 2015. Prior to becoming pastor at Rising Sun, Rev. White was an associate minister at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor James Porter. Currently he attends the John Leland Center for Theological Studies in Arlington, VA, where he’s pursuing the Master of Divinity Degree.
